Naturally, the time is presented with the largest font so a quick glance at the wrist is all it takes. RANGEMAN is Triple Sensor equipped, which makes it capable of keeping altitude, barometric pressure, temperature, and direction readings at your fingertips.
The navigational arrow that is supposed to lead to the goal and is available as an additional navigation display is not much of a help, either. Or at least, that route would immediately get displayed; one can’t baby g shock really speak of navigation along a route. Once you have created and transferred a route and then start navigation, the Casio Rangeman starts the navigation along that route. On the other hand, tracks cannot be exported from the app; they are locked in there. This is also why I cannot show any comparison tracks from the Rangeman of the kind I produce for all the other GPS watches.
They are almost always named with a “man” suffix after the initial Frogman model which itself was named for scuba divers. Three models, the Mudman, Gaussman, Raysman and Rangeman all feature a thick rubber outer layer that surrounds the buttons and case completely, ensuring that they offer mud-resistance. The Master of G watches ceased production in 2000, but there were signs Casio was keen to keep the range alive, not just baby g shock with limited edition releases but with re-designs of some of the old models. The GW-9400 is water resistant , mud resistant , shock resistant, and quite possibly kid resistant. For a solar powered “ABC” watch with a ton of features that can stand up to the abuse the Rangeman can and still look great, I think the price is a steal. I have been threw a number of casios but find this one to the be the best for the cost.
Obviously, given its name, it’s mud resistant as well as water-resistant to 200 meters or just under 660 feet. For me, the digital display is part of the brand’s appeal. In the short time since the GA2100 launched, it’s already seen quite a few variations, and the design has shown a classic G-Shock ability to take on new color combos. Master of G series watches are invariably amongst the largest G-Shock designs Casio produces, usually suited for those with larger wrists.
Also calibrating the compass has never been so easy to perform. I’m really happy with my G Shock purchase and look forward to long yrs of use. A little tip to those who have corrosion issues or watch band issues. Never shower with your watch or wash dishes with dish soap. Never wear watch while working around or near chemicals. Shower wash, detergents or other cleaning chemicals will absolutely destroy a watch!
There have been several limited editions of the Masters series, and depending on their scarcity these command some of the highest prices for any of Casio watches. The Men in Black and Men in Yellow series are black and yellow versions of the Masters and typically command anywhere between two and three times the resale value of the regular versions. The Master of G is a line of G-Shock watches produced by Japanese electronics company Casio designed for usage in harsh environments.
My previous watch was a Casio, but lacked the atomic time signal, and the ability to recharge with sunlight. It also had a blue background, which made the numbers difficult to see. This one resolves all of those issues, and provides features g shock watch I hadn’t anticipated. The interface is delightfully intuitive, while offering a surprising number of features. G-Shock Rangeman watches are marketed as a men’s watch, but of course, they are suitable for anyone who loves being out in nature.

The basic black coloring of this model further enhances the rough and tough look of the resin material and the MASTER OF G design. Base model is the RANGEMAN GW9400 with a time stamp feature that lets you record the current time in memory with the touch of a button. I really enjoy the look of this watch as I wanted to get the green one but as I read the reviews that you could not see the face due to the black color, I opted for the black watch instead. The anodized red looks sharp and the ease of use is great whether you are changing world time while traveling or getting updated time from the atomic timekeeping.
With the large variety of wristwatches and their commitment to progress, it is no surprise Casio has remained amongst the giants in the industry. It does not measure up to the tough construction and the highly interesting mixture of functions. Having the Rangeman marketed as a watch for survival in the toughest conditions while the much-too-low zoom factor in navigation could easily lure one up the wrong flank of a mountain, however, makes me doubt Casio a bit.
