Dewalt Table Saws For Sale
This is one of the most popular portable table saws on the market. In my personal experience, and drawing upon years of not hearing anything notably bad about them, I trust Dewalt’s portable table saws to be reliable. November 23, 2011I also have the older 745 and the rousseau table. I bought it to replace the Bosch 4100 that was just to heavy to be lugging in and out of the van and carrying to the work site.
A blade brake helps to stop the blade once the power button is no longer pushed. This table saw will allow you to adjust the angle of the blade from 90-degrees up-and-down to a maximum angle of 45-degrees. It has blade adjustments that are easy to reach and allow you to make small adjustments to the blade’s height without straining yourself. That makes it easier for one person to carry, but it also means that some features and materials were left off the design. Hand me down table saws are a great way to get in, but buying your own just has that different feel of enjoyment where you’ll take good care of your own.
The main reason for buying one, is I am looking to build some SUP’s. I will be ripping 10-12′ 1/4″ strips that maybe in the 3/8″ up to 3″ range, along with re-sawing some wider planks into the 1/4″ thick, 5-6″ wide plank’s. I have been going back and forth on the Dewalt dwe7491rs vs the Delta t2 vs the comparable Ridgid. the Dewalt would be nice as it packs away in a smaller space, but the delta/ridgid would also be easily moved out of the way. with the Dewalt, I would probably end up making an outfeed bench.
In a perfect world we’d get shop precision out of jobsite saws, but the reality is due to weight limits its unlikely. It has really tried to learn from feedback on its predecessor and this is evident with the upgraded motor and the ability to rip full size sheet materials. Its rugged design and fast and accurate dewalt tools fence make this a great choice for the woodworker or tradesman who needs the portability of a site saw. For less than $400 you get a small, light table saw. It has a powerful motor, cuts full size sheet materials, Has a brilliant fence system and a very safe modular blade guard and riving knife system.
The safety value of the sawstop is worth the price difference. A friend’s daughter cut of half her hand in a shop accident in her highschool last year. I really enjoyed your review and appreciate the significant time and effort put into it.
The saws/stands range from 80 lbs with the Ridgid up to 114 lbs for the Makita. Another really nice value is the Ridgid that’s currently selling for $399 including the stand. Lastly, it’s hard to ignore the $499 price tag on the DEWALT which is a great contractor grade saw dewalt accessories with great features, a great fence, and a really good stand. Pricing includes the cost of the stand and ranges from a low of $349 for the Hitachi to a high of $1,299 for the SawStop. The lowest price isn’t always the best in our opinion, we’re looking for the best value.
