Best Portable Jobsite Table Saw

Doesn’t seem to get much publicity (there’s not a single youtube review on it), so I thought I’d give it a shout out. I think that it’s the best portable table saw for the money, and that you’d be hard pressed to find anything better at under $300. I have donated a couple of dewalt Hand toolss over the years, and never heard anything negative about them. I still have a Dewalt rolling table saw I use often, and it too has been great. This particular DW745 went to a local electrician who is doing some home remodeling.

An example would be using a specially designed blade to cut into laminate without resulting in the coating getting ripped. This piece of machinery is equipped with different blades. These varied blades offer the device the ability to perform various tasks. The most important part of the blade is the size and placement of the teeth.

The company can trace its roots all the way back to 1923. Now owned by Black & Decker, DeWalt sells hundreds of power tools and accessories and is one of the most well-known power tool companies in America. This product is a larger unit when compared to the DWE7485.

Then you slide the fence by unlocking the table extension and moving that from right to left. The throat plate that came with the saw will work with a box joint blade set. You could make zero clearance inserts for both single and box joint blades but just be aware that most of the sawdust will stay topside even with a strong vacuum attached. Dewalt has perfected their rack and pinion fence, which adjusts smoothly, easily, and accurately.

If a saw has a guard that is effective and doesn’t adversely effect your production and wallet, then it is a good investment over one that doesn’t. But I believe the implementation of such should be market driven, not government mandated. When it comes to 45° cuts, the Bosch offers ¼” more depth, coming in at 2 ½” with the Dewalt trailing at 2 ¼”, meaning the Bosch will handle marginally thicker materials better. Both of these saws accommodate 10” blades and can be adapted to use dado blades with a special insert, purchased separately .
