On my saw, with everything locked down solid, the fence rattles around loose on top of the table and has 1/16” sideways slop due to the sloppy fit of the slots over the pins. It’s a terrible design anyway, because even if the fit was nice and snug when new, continually removing and replacing the fence will quickly wear the slots, resulting in a lot of fence slop. I think it is an interesting fact contractors buy the saw and set it up at beginning of the job and just use it.
