After playing around with the planer shortly after assembling this setup I completely eliminated snipe. Then gradually snipe returned on the infeed side of the cuts. The second solution, and the one I use, is to trim some scrap pieces down to the height of whatever I’m planing and feed them through just ahead of and behind my project board. Benchtop planers, also known as thickness planers, are box-shaped power tools with rotating blades inside that allow you to adjust the thickness of a piece of wood.
