G Shock Mudmaster
New and old G-Shocks So after the Seiko, I went back to a G-Shock. I spent a lot of time trying to find one I liked, the model range is extensive and I really want one with hands that were easy to read. Casio seems to go through models like water down a drain and every watch I liked was no longer available.
Highly airtight carbon case and filter protects against intrusion of mud. You can compare the features of up to 3 different products at a time.
This is just one of the many benefits of the carbon fiber-based frame. There’s little chance of a button being dislodged, even under the most severe impact. Casio’s G-Shock line of affordable, durable and all-around everything-resistant watches has been going strong for the better part of half a century. G-Shock watches are well-built, durable, and stylish in a do-everything, take-no-prisoners, vintage kind of way.
The key design principle behind the earliest G-SHOCK timepiece was the idea that the watch module should “float” inside a hollow structure that would be the tough exterior watch case. This way, impacts to the watch would be absorbed by the baby g shock case, and the internal timekeeping components would be a step removed from the blow. In 1983, the DW-5000C was launched, with the now-iconic square case shape that was determined to be the best for impact resistance and shock absorption.
This is a crucial feature for this type of watch that ensures perfect legibility at all times, even in complete darkness. A clever function that Casio has incorporated is that if you press the light button and the lower-left button, the hands move out of the way for the screen so you can read it properly in case they are in the way. The resin is raised for the bezel in order to keep the screen protected, and both sides have ”bumpers” in order to increase its resistance to shocks, but also keep the crown and triple sensor protected. Casio has constructed the case from a plastic material and on top sits a sapphire crystal.
Once, while having just finished a spirited run at 25 mph downhill, he noticed that the watch was missing. Where it was, only the forest knew, and it was now too dark to look for it. Returning the same trail with his trusty Blue Heeler, Rocky, they stopped midway near some water to let the dog fill up. It’s a muddy and somewhat swampy part of the trail and it hadn’t been made any better by the rain. Nathan sat on a rock while waiting for Rocky to finish up and spotted something nearby.
I have read in one of the answers that few models are ion plated. I do construction work and I’m an outdoors type person so far it has held up good. I don’t believe I will mess it up on the construction site. Only complaint is that the rubberized plastic bezel has a matte black finish because of its size it rubs on the inside of my jacket sleeve. Now it is becoming shiny in spots that come in contact with long sleeve clothing. So basically the matte finish is getting a Polish from clothing.
The GG1000-1A8CRcoloring is similar to that seen on armored cars and other heavy equipment. This along with a dark gray textured band and light blue face accents create a no-nonsense subdued look. Hunters and anglers expect their gear to stand up to hard use.
The three new GGB100 timepieces are created with an updated Carbon Core Guard Structure and triple-layered carbon-insert bezel to offer both light weight, durability and mud resistance. We’ve all heard about water resistant watches, even magnetic-resistant watches, but mud resistant? Well, apparently, some of us need that mud resistance and the newest line up of Casio G-Shock Mudmaster watches are finally in stores now to deliver mud resistance. Having gone off roading in a lifted truck a couple of times,I can see where mud resistance could definitely come into play.
