However, throughout each test that we subjected it to, we found that it presented such epic inconveniences that we ultimately recommended a blade grinder over this product. The unit gives a low price, but it’s not really a deal with poor cup quality, chintzy controls, very noisy operation, and deal-breaking statically charged mess with every use. An ideal coffee grinder produces ground particles that are of a consistent and correct size. By that, we mean that the size of ground coffee particles should match its grinder’s coarseness setting, fine or not.
However, this machine is quite inconsistent in its grind and produces a lot of fines. So you might be left with quite a bit of “sludge” if you make French Press coffee. Due to its grind inconsistency, we wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for that perfect, sweet cup of pour-over coffee either.
