The GGB100 is available in military themed colorways, black (GGB100-1A), green (GGB100-1A3), and orange (GGB100-1A9). The new timepieces also boast a dual layered case back of thin stainless steel and fine resin to keep it airtight, resistant to shocks and provide a comfortable feel to wear from day to night. A special vibration-resistant construction lets them stand up to wear while operating cutters, crushers, drills and other heavy machinery to clear way large obstacles. This is CASIO’s first analog watch to come with Mud Resist construction, which helps to ensure that nothing gets into the watch when down and dirty work takes you deep into the dirt and sludge.

But the best advice I was given to care of my watches was to take them of before shower (and for sleeping but shower is what’s more damaging). The toughest watches, the more waterproof watches are not made to endure hot water and detergent everyday. Since I stopped wearing them under shower, I just wipe them with my bath towel before going baby g shock to sleep when I take my watch off, so you clean the sweat and the dust of the day and it’s clean when you put it on in the morning. The two G’s I bought since I do that are just like brand new after a full year. The Mudmaster comes with a double LED illuminated dial, which will come in handy for those early mornings and late nights afield.
The band has a very simplistic and tough connection so that you won’t need to look at the band when you close or open it and more importantly not having to worry that it may ever come off when you do not want it to. In addition, Twin Sensor capabilities provide instant access to direction and temperature information when needed under tough conditions. Casio G-Shock Mudmaster is the King Kong of rugged Casio smartwatches.

One thing is for sure though, it’s not the kind of product you are going to be on the fence about. At first, I was tempted to send it back but it’s actually better fit on the wrist than the Seiko.
Data from the compass, altimeter/barometer, step counter, and temperature gauge are available at the push of a button. The MUDMASTER GGB100 becomes more than a rough and tumble timepiece, it’s a log of every adventure you take it on. Multiple gaskets are used to protect the Twin Sensor capabilities, and the face of the watch is marked with large Arabian numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock for easy reading. The face can be illuminated by a LED light and the hands are luminous – although not as bright as the Seikos. All in all, it’s safe to say that the Casio G-Shock Mudmaster GWG-1000 is a watch out of the ordinary.
It is part of the G-Shock collection and therefore offers everything you would expect from one, but at the same time, it offers so much more. Both in terms of durability, but most importantly in terms of functions. This is a true survival and outdoor watch which has functions that display everything you may need from a watch and much more.
The three new GGB100 timepieces were created with an updated Carbon Core Guard Structure and triple-layered carbon-insert bezel, providing durability in a lightweight case. If you spend any amount of time outdoors it’s worth a look. Easier to read than a digital display and will survive anything you can. The first killed the alarm sound and the final one caused the display to go off when you pressed the light. The lesson learned is always to get your battery replaced at a good store.
