The intex purespa has a filter cartridge, not sand; the box will specify which filter type you should use. The ring is independent of the water area and should remain filled once initially inflated. This will provide answers to many small questions that may arise, and will equip with the pertinent information for safely enjoying your pool. Some pools come with instructional DVDs as well, but most Easy Set pools currently do not. PH levels are not necessary to test for above-ground pools of this size. Never turn the filter on while swimmers are in the pool.
And, yes, I could spare a few hours if you think its worth a shot. Just to be clear with other readers who may think I just don’t want to put in the time and effort leveling intex frame pool ground, that’s not the case. Please understand some people have more free time than others. Just adding in my commute and sleeping, the time I have left over is precious.
We “upgraded” to the type that is basically the same material as this pool, but with a framework of metal poles instead of the inflatable ring. Cost wasn’t a whole lot different, and it sets up quicker and easier than you might think. The vertical walls give you more swim area and true depth (similar rinky-dink ladder, but a slightly bigger filter). This is a good time to look for end of season clearance sales on these – that’s how we got both ours at good prices. The weather here in the Northeast has been very warm this summer which prompted us to give in to the backyard inflatable pool fad that seems to be spreading like wild fires. Our children are beginning to learn how to swim and it seems as though every neighbor has one of these big blue swimming holes so we figured it was time to join them.
Avoid setting up this inflatable pool on mud, sand, or any loose or soft soil conditions. Make a splash all summer long with the Intex Easy Set pool. This pool is incredibly easy to assemble, easy to maintain, and fun to own.
Get yourself a chemical test kit Walmart has a basic kit, but I would suggest getting a Taylor K-2006 kit. Use the test kit to tell you when to add chlorine and other chemicals. Read the directions on the chemicals, but you have about 1200 gallons in the pool.
