I suppose Polo is a true classic as it doesn’t smell dated or out of place to me compared to others that were released around polo dress shirts this time. It’s a bold, very masculine scent. It’s in the same vein as Quorum but comes off more classy and refined to me.
I’m reminded of how my clothes smelled when I was a smoker. It’s also a very nostalgic smell and, yes, I would also dub it a “dad smell”, if there was such a thing. Kind of interesting accord, but definitely not universally appealing. A couple of hours after application the smell just gets better and better.
It’s not sweet at all, which makes it stand out from a lot of modern colognes & what draws comments. It has impressive silliage and longevity. My skin absorbs most colognes pretty quickly but this one will last me 8+ hours. All you need is the ’78 Firebird and to unbutton your shirt revealing a hairy chest to complete the picture. I will most likely give an update in the future, maybe on 6 months when I’ve got a more solid opinion, but I have a feeling I’m only going to like this fragrance more.
