G Shock Mudmaster
Because of its size, it’s not the most comfortable, but it does the job for what it’s meant to do. Thanks to its rugged construction, you won’t have to worry about whether or not it will hold up. im just wondering why JF versions command more of a pricepoint then its counterparts even though those are also made in japan (correct?). anyways thanks again great point on the estimated battery life. I don’t have any official figures, but I would guess it’s the GWG A3 or GWG A1. Some parts like the screws, buttons, and band keeper may be ion plated on some models.
This isn’t out of character for a G-Shock, but the Tough Solar tech does show up in G-Shocks at this price range. However, it’s left out of a watch that is marketed to spend its life outside and will force you to change them roughly every 2 years. Like baby g shock most G-Shocks, the Mudmaster comes will all the standard features, a stopwatch feature, 5 alarms (with snooze!) and 31 world times. Maybe even the extreme sports guys wouldn’t use these features, but they’re there and fun to use in daily life.
The lower-left button on the left opens the list of the features on the watch’s LED strip, which you can access or customize with the help of upper-left button. The list of features includes timer, stopwatch, alarm, atmospheric pressure, temperature, etc. The thermometer can give readings in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. The watch’s dial is illuminated by a LED light and is protected by a sapphire crystal, which as per Casio cannot be scratched. It also ensures high visibility under virtually any conditions imaginable.
New and old G-Shocks So after the Seiko, I went back to a G-Shock. I spent a lot of time trying to find one I liked, the model range is extensive and I really want one with hands that were easy to read. Casio seems to go through models like water down a drain and every watch I liked was no longer available.
I have read in one of the answers that few models are ion plated. I do construction work and I’m an outdoors type person so far it has held up good. I don’t believe I will mess it up on the construction site. Only complaint is that the rubberized plastic g shock protection bezel has a matte black finish because of its size it rubs on the inside of my jacket sleeve. Now it is becoming shiny in spots that come in contact with long sleeve clothing. So basically the matte finish is getting a Polish from clothing.
