Men’s Minimalist Watch Ga2100
It’s all about what you see when you look at your wrist. But speaking of the case, this is where it sets itself apart from other G-Shocks. Rather than a big, blocky, overbuilt style, its octagonal shape gives it a more distinguished look (a “royal” inspiration, if you will), which ties in well with its ana-digi design.
On top of all of that, these models come with Casio’s standard 200m water resistance, shock resistance, and full range of digital watch functions like stopwatch, countdown timer and alarms. When it comes to durable watches packed with cool style, Casio’s G-SHOCK sets the benchmark – and this GA-2100 version shows exactly why. It’s made using the label’s Core Guard technology baby g shock – meaning it provides superior shock resistance through use of carbon fibre – and comes with the black octagonal bezel for the retro look. Allowing you to customise the look, it comes fitted with an interchangeable strap, and to finish, it’s water resistant for up to 200 metres. The watch features a recognizable octagon design first brought forth in the original DW-5000C.
And with its performance and durability, this watch, just like the other G-Shock watches, is incredibly durable. While not something you’d wear as a dress piece (unless you’re being willfully transgressive, which I’m on board for) the case has an undeniable ability to slide gracefully under a shirt cuff. While this is a full featured G-Shock with timers, alarms, multiple g shock protection time zones, and so forth, that, to me, isn’t what this watch is all about. This is not a tactical watch and I’m not recommending it as a tool, I’m recommending it solely and exclusively as a design object. When shopping for bang for buck EDC watches, very specific brands and models come to mind. And at the very top of the list is the humble Casio G-Shock.
An auto-LED light also provides great legibility to the analogue-digital dial and LCD display. The resin band combined with 200-metre depth rating makes the GA-2100 the go-to piece come rain or shine. Features such as time zone settings, stopwatch function, countdown timers and alarms provide versatility and unbeatable utility. baby g shock (The GA A and GA A also have Neo-Brite luminous hands.) The dimensions are 48.5 x 45.4 x 11.8 millimeters and the weight is 51 grams. Moreover, the super illuminator double LED light makes readability clearer and more visible even in tough environments. One LED for the face and one backlight for the digital display.
The camouflage pattern printed on the bezel of the GA-2100SU model create great looking new designs. The strap features a quick-release mechanism which I have not seen on a G-Shock before. It makes one wonder if Casio will be offering alternate straps for the CasiOak. This would make sense and be on-brand for Casio as G-Shocks have always fit a variety of personal styles. There is quite a bit of text that adorns the case of the CasiOak.
When you first pick up the CasiOak you will immediately notice how light it is. Most G-Shocks are light by design, incorporating plastic and rubber into their construction, but this watch takes it one step further. Casio has integrated carbon fiber into the CasiOak which makes it even lighter on the wrist than most other G-Shocks available today.
