Tool Review
I’ve been using this model for a while and didn’t notice the problem until I tried to use it to cut wide laminate flooring boards. If I cut the board down and then slide dewalt tools to complete the cut, I oftentimes get non-straight cuts – there are notches where the blade starts to slide. Luckily those cut sides go to the ends towards walls.
This miter saw uses a 15-amp motor that provides enough power for up to 3,800 RPMs which is more than enough power for almost any use. The Dewalt XPS Cutline miter saw comes with a 3-year limited warranty from the manufacturer. All three saw stands are made to be easily moved and transported. They dewalt tools are all foldable and have lock levers to make sure everything is in place before you start cutting. They also all provide a good design that can be used with all miter saws. It has something to do with the brushless motor (something we don’t typically see in a plugged in tool), and the converter.
The DWX726 has wheels that allow the user to move the stand around with very little effort. For that reason, it is the go-to for maneuverability. The most noticeable difference between these three saw stands is their weight capacity. DWX723 can hold up to 400 pounds, DWX724 can handle 500 pounds, DWX726 caps out at 300 pounds. This stand is also expensive compared to other similar ones. Because of its advanced features – and in spite of its lowest capacity – it is generally the most expensive product on this list.
You need to unlock it when applying the saw for any object. The fences are tall like we have seen with other miter saws of this quality. Then another 10 cuts are made, followed by another rest. We feel this is the best way to simulate actual use on the job. Obviously, with the new 9.0 Ah battery packs that were just released this month, the run time will be even greater. While framing the walkout basement on this project, the crew was able to cut framing lumber all day using just two battery packs .
Considering this miter saw is both affordable and packed with top-notch endurance, it’s the best of both worlds! Paying a little dewalt Hand tools for a tool that can last you a generation is no small feat. You can cut a full 48-degree bevel to the right or left.
It has a large capacity, built like a tank and is a top performer. Once you look around at other 12 Sliders, you will see that they run up into the $500 and higher range. The saw uses a stainless steel miter plate and can make cuts up to 50 degrees on the left and 60 degree on the right. A zero-clearance insert helps support the wood fibers as the blade exits the workpiece. The result is a smooth cut without tearout or chipping. An additional benefit is that small cutoffs won’t get trapped in the insert opening.
