The final of three series is the GA2100HC (aka the “Casio Oak”), which is available in two versions. The GA2100HC-2A, has a clear white bezel, a blue translucent band, and a blue and white dial, and the GA2100HC-4A has an olive green bezel, orange translucent band, with orange accents on the dial. This slim case design also has a Carbon Core Guard structure for enhanced strength and shock resistance. The GA900 comes in two versions with matte resin cases and bezels.
To even consider a G-Shock with a shirt says much about the blacked-out versatility of this darkest reference, and while not exactly svelte, the lightweight build makes it a joy to wear. So what we’re left with in terms of real world use on the dial is a pretty functional two-hander. The sword shaped hour and minute hands are the only components of the GA-2100 that are not red, thanks to some lume that could be stronger, so they stand out quite well. The twelve indices around the dial’s perimeter are in a slightly lighter shade than the dial’s base, and they’re raised, giving the dial a bit of depth and lending an extra touch of legibility. The GA-2100 has already been dubbed the “CasiOak” all over the watch internet, and other similar mashup nicknames are out there as well.
At 2 o’clock, it has the ”light”, at 4 o’clock ”start”, at 8 o’clock ”Mode”, and at 10 o’clock ”Adjust”. That way, you’ll know immediately which button does what. The blackout GA A1, one of three debut models from 2019, is still widely sold out and unavailable. The new GA-2110SU-3A (GA2110SU-3A in the U.S.) has been selling out quickly at some American retailers. Based on my own experience and the reactions of others, g shock protection the reasons are very simple. Can’t remember another model that has variants with hardware differences like that. Move the day of week arc to the 6 position and the LCD up to the 12 and make it all on the one line so the hand don’t obscure vision.
