Dewalt 18v Rotary Laser Bluetooth

Laser and plumb levels are becoming more and more popular in the residential and commercial construction world these past few years. As a remodeling tool, laser and plumb levels, save time and improve accuracy by stepping up precision in your projects. This article is a cross line green laser comparison Dewalt vs. Bosch vs. Stabilia. While a tripod makes it easy to keep your laser level steady, it’s not impossible to use without one.

To survive the abuse of a professional worksite, this level is built to take punishment. The level also uses DEWALT’s interchangeable 12-volt battery platform, meaning you can reuse the same battery for most types of power tools of the same brand. Beyond the highly accurate laser level, this one also comes with a three-axis bubble level and eight-foot-long measuring tape.

As you can see, DEWALT offers a robust line of lasers including spot, line, combination, and rotary, as well as laser accessories to go with them. With the professional in mind, we will continue to evolve and innovate these products to accommodate needs on the jobsite. Keep checking back to see what new products DEWALT has to offer.

Most laser levels specify their accuracy right on the packaging. If it’s more than ¼-inch deviation at 100 feet, keep on shopping. While vertical and horizontal line guides are extremely useful dewalt Hand tools in most applications, sometimes they still aren’t precise enough for pinpoint accuracy. Under these special circumstances, a point line laser like the Bosch GLL 1P is hard to beat.

Dual-slope means that the line will move along both the X axis and Y axis. X mode is used often to “walk” the line in vertical mode for aligning metal track. Y is used to angle the line in horizontal mode for setting slope or setting pitch on a driveway. The big difference between laser lines and laser spots is spots dewalt Hand tools are greatly more visible in bright light and across distance. The Bosch GLL 100 G Green-Beam Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser uses green-beam technology, and has a working range up to 100 Ft. It includes Bosch-exclusive VisiMax™ technology, which allows for outstanding line visibility in standard working conditions.

The battery configuration is subtly indicated on the battery compartment lid. The DW088CG is powered by three AA batteries, and has an accuracy of +/- 1/8” at 30-feet. The bottom of the laser allows a tripod mount of ¼”-20 threaded insert. The mounting bracket allows the laser to rotate 180 degrees and has two magnets. It can easily sit on the floor, and has an included suspended ceiling grid clamp.

Set atop a 5′ tripod the DeWalt, right, needs to be about 10′ away from a wall for the vertical line to run floor to ceiling. Here it’s about 8′ away and the line still doesn’t hit the floor. The Makita, left, on a 5′ tripod not only hits the floor but comes to within 3′ of the tripod base. But working in small rooms on a tripod is easier with the Makita. The Dewalt DW088LG 12-volt laser uses a T-Stak box, thus giving it the “best case award.” Second was the Bosch case, which resembles their older jig saw cases.

The Makita left, is visible to about three feet past the dot. I’m not sure if that is a limitation of the laser or the detector. At the time of this writing, Makita does not offer a five spot/cross line laser. And, aside dewalt tools from DeWalt, the only other true five spot/cross line I know of is sold by Spectra. Other brands, Makita included, offer “five point” combo lasers with the fifth point being the forward cross hair, not an actual spot.
