In the case of the former, we would get the GTX 1660 SUPER at the same price of $229 US and in the second case, we could get a slight price bump of around $249 US. For € 249,00 MSRP there is no denying this GTX 1660 Super can be described as best bang bang for your buck GPU at the moment! All major GPU manufacturers like Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and announced their version of the GTX 1660 Super. Momentarily stocks are low and prices are higher than MSRP but this will stabilize once the stocks are filled. Underneath is the same compliment of 1408 cores, 88 TMUs, and 48 ROPS found in the GTX 1660. Nvidia first released Turing based consumer GPUs in September of 2018 with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080. Since that time, the lineup has filled out down to the budget-friendly GTX 1650. More recently, we’ve seen Nvidia launch the Super series of cards (RTX 2080 Super/RTX 2070 Super/RTX 2060 Super), offering more performance at a better price point, as well as filling the gaps on the mid-range to high-end SKUs. There’s still the problem of the previous generation cards, as well as the existing 1660 cards.

At this point, the partners have been shipping TU116-based cards for over 6 months, so they have been able to hone their GTX 1660 family designs.
At least the price is lower, which brings me to the official specs overview. Though the GTX 1660 Ti has slower memory, it’s still at the top of this 3-card stack due to having more CUDA cores, more texture units, and a bigger L1 cache. The new 1660 Super will also support all the new software advancements Nvidia is announcing today as well. At 1,920 x 1,080, the GTX 1660 was a huge amount faster than the GTX GB, offering a near 30% speed boost to the minimum frame rate. While there was a big step up on the minimum from the RX 590, the latter was only 2fps behind on the average frame rate. Given the price difference between it and the GTX 1660 Ti, the pricing here is pretty much spot on too, with the more expensive Turing card adding around 15% on top of the GTX 1660’s performance. So coming to the specifications of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, the card would rock 1408 CUDA cores, 80 Texture Mapping Units, and 48 raster operation units.
