Nvidia Reveals Faster Geforce Gtx 1660 Super, Gtx 1650 Super Gpus Boosted By Gddr6 Memory

The big news with the Super version of the GTX 1660 is that it offers faster GDDR6 memory, which allows for almost double the memory bandwidth compared to the GTX 1660. The ASUS GPU Tweak II utility takes graphics card tuning to the next level. It allows you to tweak critical parameters including GPU core clocks, memory frequency, and voltage settings, with the option to monitor everything in real-time through a customizable on-screen display. Advanced fan control is also included along with many more features to help you get the most out of your graphics card.

It includes 6GB of fast GDDR6 dedicated graphics memory, and support for up to four displays. Before we get into the benchmarks, here’s gigabyte gtx 1060 3gb a quick recap of the $200 – $300 price segment this year. Way back in February we got the first GTX 1660 series GPU, the $280 Ti model.

The heatsink uses a copper base plate that comes into direct contact with the GPU core for cooling. The VRM looks to be a 3+2 flavor with room on the board for additional phases. EVGA likely sources the board from another card a bit higher up the stack. The interesting part here is that the VRMs are not cooled by any contact with the heatsink, but only by airflow from the fans.

Looking at these figures the performance gain from buying the € 299,00 GTX 1660 Ti over the gtx 1080 8gb is minimal. Below the benchmarks of Hardware.info confirm the minimal differences. Overall the GTX 1660 Ti remains faster than the GTX 1660 Super but with a very small margin. NvidiaFinally, Nvidia’s own hardware-infused G-Sync monitors will now behave better when you’re gaming at screaming-fast speeds over your monitor’s native refresh rate, in an effort to counter-punchAMD’s Radeon Anti-Lag.

Nvidia says it’ll reveal that information closer to the card’s November 22 launch. It’s probably playing coy to give the company room to counter-punch potential AMD pricing shenanigans around the Radeon RX 5500 series, after the “jebaited” controversy around the Radeon RX 5700 series release. NvidiaSlotting in below that will be the new GeForce GTX 1650 Super, which will receive a more substantial overhaul when it launches November 22.

Both the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and 1660 use Nvidia’s TU166 Turing GPU, with the caveat that it doesn’t support RTX features such as DLSS and ray tracing like the RTX 2060. There is also the issue that pricing for all versions of the GTX 1060 is obviously lower than at launch now and I’ve added some of the cheaper examples to the above table. The GTX GB can be had for just $184/£164 and the 6GB card for $209/£190, the latter being practically the same as the GTX 1660. Nvidia swapped out the slower GDDR5 memory of the original GTX 1660 for cutting-edge GDDR6 VRAM in the new GTX 1660 Super, and oh, what a difference it makes. In our testing across a variety of games, the upgraded memory pushes the new card well beyond the original GTX 1660’s performance and closer to the frame rates pumped out by the $280 GTX 1660 Ti.

Our Support Team main aim is to make sure the best quality after-sales service and warranty support for our customers. We are providing warranty and after-sales service from our Special Service Center & Warranty Center, no matter from which branch he or she purchased the product. This means that the GTX 1660 needs to add some decent margins over the GTX GB. As usual, it will be worth watching pricing of the older Pascal-based cards over the next few weeks as there are likely to be some bargains out there. A place for everything NVIDIA, come talk about news, drivers, rumors, GPUs, the industry, show-off your build and more.

GeForce GTX® 1660 SUPER™ features a dedicated hardware encoder that unlocks the ability to game and stream simultaneously with superior quality. On our rig, which included a GTX 2080 and an i7-4790K, we found that we could turn most of the ray tracing related settings to Ultra or Extreme without dipping below 30FPS. That said, this shader pack doesn’t require an RT Core for smooth performance and by all accounts runs well with Nvidia 1000 series cards. That’s right, graphics cards like the GeForce GTX 1060 on up through the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and even the Titan Xp will have limited support for ray tracing.

The chipmaker has introduced a new driver update that allows users to turn on the feature on Apart from the GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti, all other GPUs now support the feature through DirectX Ray Tracing. In fact, even a $180/£160 GTX GB doesn’t make much sense when for an extra $40/£40, you’re getting up to 30% more performance. It’s a good time for the consumer then as we’re likely going to see cut-price Pascal cards, but as it stands the GTX 1660 is definitely worth the cash and if you’re a 1080p gamer, it offers plenty of headroom too.
