In a recent interview in London, the G-shock inventor was seen wearing a negative display square. I find it interesting that he could have chosen any premium G-shock to wear but he chose to wear a low end negative display square. Unless budget is a serious factor I would say go with the Rangeman because it has Tough Solar/Multi-Band 6 and the Triple Sensor, and it’s not really that much more expensive. You might also consider the solar-powered GW-9700B-1 but that has a reverse LCD display .
