Casio Unveils Its First G

It’s built to take all the hard knocks a G-Shock watch can at a price that won’t break the bank yet still offers many great features. A throwback to the design of the original 1983 Casio G-Shock, the GW-5000-IJF is made in Japan and updated with the latest technology. The 43-mm case is stainless steel with a strong DCL coating and a screw-back case. This G-Shock model comes with a comfortable resin band with a tang buckle.

The MTG-S1000, GW-A1000, and GPW-1000 feature Triple G Resist which includes resistance to shock, centrifugal gravity, and vibration. In 2014, Casio introduced the GPS Hybrid Wave Ceptor feature in the GPW-1000 Gravitymaster that allows the watch to synchronize the time through GPS signals and also adjusts the time zone automatically. GD120MB-1 $ 99.00 baby g shock Introducing a new addition to the GD120 series of popular big case models. Starting with a basic, classic G-Shock design, the digital display is supplemented by three dial window indicators. GBD800-1 $ 99.00 GBD800 water resistant digital models features a multi-segment digital display to improve readability and operation while engaged in sports.

The rugged smartwatch offers 200-metre water resistance and features a wide range of activity options including running, indoor workouts, road biking, swimming, as well as surfing and snowboarding. The G-Shock smartwatch also comes with an optical sensor to measure heart rate. It features a dual-layer display — an always-on LCD for time display and a colour LCD for high-definition display of maps, sensor data, and more. Although this is a smartwatch, it’s still every bit as tough as you’d expect a G-Shock watch to be, and it goes some way to explaining the overall size and weight of the GSW-H1000. It has 200-meters water resistance, yet still has a microphone, and is entirely shock resistant despite having a glass-covered touchscreen. A special titanium carbide finish minimizes the chance of scratching the case and ruining the attractive matte finish.

This popular G-Shock model uses Bluetooth connectivity to access features like a reminder alert, time and place log, easy watch setting, and a phone finder function. Gaining its now legendary toughness from Ibe’s revolutionary decision to suspend the module inside a hollow rubber structure, the G-Shock has been the go-to name in superbly durable and precise wristwear ever since. Analog/digital hybrid G-Shocks all have traditional watch hands, giving them at-a-glance legibility and a sense of time itself g shock watch that’s lacking on a fully digital display. There’s something about looking at a whole watch dial that offers a broader perspective on time, and this is certainly part of the allure here. DW5600BB-1 $ 99.00 From G-SHOCK, the watch brand that is constantly setting new standards for timekeeping toughness, comes a basic DW5600 case silhouette with monotone black coloring. Casio G-Shock GSW-H1000 is the company’s first G-Shock watch — part of its G-Squad lineup — to be powered by Wear OS by Google.

These watches feature Blutotooth connectivity that allows the nerdiest of workout analysis. Bluetooth sets these watches apart from the other 5000 Series G-Shocks. This is the grandaddy of the retro-style, with a robust feature set and a classic look that’ll hide this wolf’s cutting-edge g shock watch capabilities under a sheep’s clothing. Hard to get, but worth the quest for die-hard G-Shock collectors and normal folks alike. These models lack analog hands, and thus harken back to the earliest G-Shocks that appeared in 1981 from the drawing pad of renown Casio designer Kikuo Ibe.

It’s surprising G-Shock hasn’t included digital representations of its many dial designs. Personalizing the watch face is part of Wear OS’s appeal, and I expect many (most?) people who buy this watch will be G-Shock fans who will have their favorite dial designs. The GSW-H1000 is the first G-Shock to use Google’s Wear OS software. It connects to the standard Wear OS app and Casio’s G-Shock Move app.

The solar-powered GWA A3 has all the top features and more that are helpful for outdoor activity including multiband automatic timekeeping, stopwatch, countdown timer, and a digital compass. As with all G-Shocks, its 200-meter water resistance makes it safe for professional marine activity. The Gulfmaster’s functions include a triple sensor, moon and tide graphs, radio wave and manual reception, a digital compass, an advanced barometer and altimeter, and a countdown timer.
