4k ultra meanwhile is basically out of the question, with Forza Horizon 4 being the best result at 45fps. Despite the higher performance than the GTX GB in every test, sometimes significantly so, the gtx 1090 used very little extra power – just 2W under load and with a similar idle power draw too. The Pascal range of cards prided itself on its efficiency and with near 30% more performance here on occasions, Turing is clearly doing the same. Some games like Forza Horizon 4 can break 60fps, but most games will run at closer to 45fps. Dropping the image quality a few notches can get the card back to 60fps if you want, but I think it’s better to stick with 1080p.

When we first saw the specifications for the GTX 1660 Super, we didn’t know what to make of it. The 75% increase in memory bandwidth is huge, but ultimately if the GPU wasn’t memory starved to begin with, that would just end up being a big number on paper that wouldn’t translate into meaningful gains in the real world. Kingdom Come Deliverance has the 1660 Super performing very well again, beating the base model by a 9% margin to come in just 3 fps behind the 1660 Ti. That was until later in the year when the Radeon RX 590 dropped from around $300 to nearly $200.
