Cuisinart® Cuisinart® Custom 14 14 Cup Food Processor
These accessories increase what you can do with this food processor. There are numerous replacement parts available for the 14-cup capacity Cuisinart including replacement lids, work bowls, pushers, blades, and discs. This combined with the fact it has a sturdy motor means that the DFP 14BCN Cuisinart cuisinart griddler elite could be the last processor you need to buy. If you spend any amount of time cooking, a good food processor can be an absolute godsend. Capable of dicing, slicing, grinding, kneading, and more with ease, these devices can transform the more drudging aspects of food prep into an absolute pleasure.
Chopping vegetables requires good hand-eye coordination and quickness. And there’s nothing quite like stirring a homemade hummus for long amounts of time to get rid of all the clumps. Even after two zucchini, the large 14-cup mixing bowl starts to feel not so large. If you have a small kitchen, storing all the items could prove to be a hassle. Eventually, I got tired of all the tedious food prep methods.
We recommend this large, 16-cup processor only if you’re cooking for a crowd multiple times a week. The Sous Chef is more than twice the price of the Cuisinart Custom 14, and it’s more powerful than most people need. This is one of Cuisinart’s most basic models, but it consistently chops, slices, and kneads better than any other food processor we’ve found for under $200. The Cuisinart Custom 14-Cup Food Processor has turned my kitchen into a somewhat automated kitchen. Tedious tasks our parents and grandparents did to prepare food each day can now be done in seconds while you’re doing something else. As I’ve grown up and watched my mother and grandmother cook and bake in their kitchens, I’ve learned to appreciate how physical making dinner can be.
It was not mentioned anywhere in the instructions so we thought we had a dud. Grounding chicken was a breeze, making slices of lemons were quite easy and quick. We bought this in July, used it 3-4 times so far, so couldn’t speak about longevity.
If you have an older machine that still works well, stick with it. We recommend the inexpensive KitchenAid 3.5 Cup Food Chopper for anyone who wants to make small batches of dips, spreads, or mirepoix. It chopped vegetables more evenly than the other mini models we tested. On top of that, its handled jar with push-button activation was the most convenient to use.
BakeDeco/Kerekes is a distributor of quality tools, supplies, and equipment for every food service establishment and restaurant. With over 35,000 items in stock, our website features a full line of quality kitchen products for every chef. But I also think this food processor is for a home cook who prides themselves on cooking whole food ingredients for their family. I genuinely like creating my own sauces, salads, and soups — not only can I be creative in what is added, I know the exact ingredients of all the food I put on the table. There are plenty of healthy options that can be found at the grocery store, but nothing feels quite right when you don’t know what’s actually in your food.
For the money it is clearly the best product we have purchased. Easy to clean and easy to extract whatever vegetable / seeds your working with. It comes with a spatula, two blades, 1 for slicing and 1 for grating, and a chopper blade. We have made many different sauces, salads, guacamole, and more.
