On the other side, DeWalt makes the DCF897 3/4″ impact wrench. No matter how you slice it, Milwaukee provides more and better options for maximum impact wrench power. In the end, however, if you consider the flagship models, this one seems like much less of a contest than the cordless hammer drills. DeWalt boasts more than 200 products in its 20V Max line before adding in their new FlexVolt line of tools or their corded products.

When you realize the volume of very trade-specific tools, the pricing skews upward a bit. dewalt Hand tools may provide just a bit more options for tools falling into those lower price points. That’s not to say that both companies don’t make high-end tools, nor does it imply that you can’t find entry-level tools for budget-minded users. Overall, we don’t see enough of a difference here as to really draw a major distinction. It runs at either 60V Max or 20V Max mode depending upon whether it is placed into a 60V FlexVolt or 20V Max tool. dewalt Hand tools is an American company that represents a worldwide brand of power tools for the construction, manufacturing, and woodworking industries. The DeWalt brand actually falls under the umbrella of Stanley Black & Decker. This parent company also owns Irwin Tools, Craftsman, Lenox, Porter-Cable, Proto, Bostitch, Vidmar, and several others. We also needed to look at what tools each company makes—and even look at where they are made.

There’s a blower port on the side, onboard cord storage, and an accessory storage bag for keeping all of the included accessories within reach. The two saws sport 15-Amp (~1800W at 120V) motors, with the Dewalt having a slightly higher top speed of 4,800 RPMs. The Bosch is a bit slower, but I have to say I’m a big fan of Bosch’s “soft start” feature. This smart circuitry manages the power load into a more gradual startup curve, meaning it won’t trip a circuit breaker in your home or worksite. This is especially helpful if you’re running a shop vac at the same time.

Since its beginning in 1924, Dewalt tools has been creating and manufacturing quality, durable tools. Dewalt manufactured its first power tool nearly 90 years ago–an electric universal woodworking machine–and it has since become a power tool manufacturing leader well known to both professionals and laymen. Whether you’re a construction professional, woodworker, mechanic, plumber, carpenter, electrician, HVAC specialist or DIYer, chances are you will find a Dewalt tool that meets your needs. Here at Toolbarn, we carry more than 200 electric and cordless Dewalt products. Everything from drills, impact wrenches and saws to planers, routers and joiners, we’ve got.

It just doesn’t seem large enough for what I think of as a garage vacuum. But I’ve seen garages with polished epoxy coated floors and “display” tool racks – so to this might have some appeal. I have a wall mounted vacmaster I bought from costco 4 years ago. If all they did was make it brushless with a little more power – I’d be happy.

With the included remote I could realistically put this up almost to the ceiling and put the wall-mount dust deputy underneath of it. I do find it odd, hearing that any kind of light, laser, or stationary unmanned tool doesn’t come with some sort of remote operation method. That kind of oversight would be one of my first design thoughts, if I were to design the electronics… Bluetooth remote operation, or some sort of universal light/laser/on-off RF remote for these kinds of tools. If you can get a remote shutter button for your phone, it shouldn’t be a terribly difficult, or expensive, thing to add to the operation. Looks like a nice tool, though there’s obviously some funny business going on with the specifications.

But that said I’ve got 3 or 4 battery vacs, two HEPA wheeled units and the Milwaukee M18 backpack for mostly concrete wall drilling.
