The G-Shock has established a legendary status and become recognized all around the world. Due to its huge popularity, it has become one of the most sold watches in the world and been released in many different designs and iterations since its conception many decades ago. An attractive, minimalist feature analog/digital g shock watch G-SHOCK that puts a traditional spin on classic Square aesthetics. A smart brand extension that’s entranced both G-SHOCK fans and traditional watch enthusiasts. I chose the white-on-black 1A – it’s more legible than the gray-on-black 1A1 and I’m not flashy enough to rock a fire engine red watch.

It distinctively looks like an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. Blacked out with darkened lumes, inverted LCD, and that octagon bezel, it just looked stunningly beautiful. The hands are poorly lumed and the hour markers are not treated. Instead, you get a LED light to illuminate the dial from an angle. The light is positioned near the tiny digital screen. Few compromises are made when it comes to the CasiOak.
While the GA-2100 has more of the original G-Shock DNA in its style than some other recent models like the GA-2000, it is also a subdued style that has a mainstream appeal. Fans will easily recognize it as a G-Shock, but at the same time, it doesn’t scream “G-Shock” to others. The manageable size of this watch is also a big plus as mentioned above. Can’t help but chuckle every time I strap this one on…. While the handset is bright white and filled with lume, the markers are off-white, almost gray. They match the color of the lume on the hands but are not lumed at all. I would have liked to see Casio lume the markers as it can be difficult to read and orient yourself when reading the time in the dark.
