Most recently I used the DCS355D1 to cut cedar clapboards to allow four pre-made window surrounds to be installed. The exciting part of this and many of the more recent tool releases is that tool manufacturers are now making cordless dewalt Hand tools tools that can compete with corded tool power. Seems to work well but it is ear-protector-required noisy. I’ll not regret having the battery power especially since it matches my 20v drill, but I could do with the quiet.
Still should wear hearing protection but I have forgotten before and my ears don’t hurt like the dewalt. The – connections are required to be connected fully or the working LED light will just flash once, but the tool wont do a thing. After looking on a few sites, I have found that dry joints hidden under heat shrink sleeving and DeWalt intelligent battery’s are the reason for the tools not working.
