Since its launch, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve, continuing to support on Mr. Ibe’s mantra “never, never give up.” /home. The g shock watch GMAS2100 collection arrives in four stylish colorways. The GMAS2100-7A features a white case and band with silver accents.

A team of three individuals was selected by Ibe which was known as “team tough”. The team had assembled and tested nearly 200 prototypes but were still not able to achieve the conception criteria. With that in mind, the team set out to develop a watch using such a concept and in 1983, the first G-Shock, the DW-5000C, was launched. GWN-1000 is one of my favorite watches (as it’s the most affordable Tough Solar analog-digital G-Shock with Triple Sensor), but it’s more expensive now and harder to find than it used to be in the U.S. GWN-Q1000 with depth sensor is also nice but is only sold in Japan now.

All our watches come with outstanding water resistant technology and are built to withstand extreme condition. Not just durability, but a plethora of features are a big reason why several armed forces around the world made the G-Shock their preferred watch. Not only did the watch stand out in terms of durability and ruggedness, it allowed wearers to view the time to the second with incomparable accuracy (after all it’s digital). The rubber strap and casing just made the watch a perfect companion for long treks and missions in the most challenging of conditions.

It really depends which features you want and which look you prefer, keep in mind the GPW-1000 is fully analog. Every model design is thoroughly tested for shock and water resistance. Unless budget is a serious factor I would say go with the Rangeman because it has Tough Solar/Multi-Band 6 and the Triple Sensor, and baby g shock it’s not really that much more expensive. You might also consider the solar-powered GW-9700B-1 but that has a reverse LCD display . If you don’t need the Triple Sensor then the G-7900 is a fine choice with good features but personally I prefer solar models. I don’t think the Rangeman is too big for a 6.5″ wrist.

Not to be confused with mechanical watches, analog watches simply have dials and hands rather than numeric displays to provide information. All the movements here are quartz-driven, providing the same reliability and durability found in the other models, while the presentation ups the elegance and refinement. With a more stripped-down dial and a mid-sized case, this model is aiming for a little g shock protection less on purpose. It won’t dominate your outfit, but will bring the high-tech vibe of a G-Shock nonetheless. Like their GAS cousins below, these models exude a perhaps unintentional driving motif, while providing street-ready style, as well. The alternative dial layout is the kind of thing the G-Shockers will fuss over on the forums, but you can go with your gut and let the kids do the arguing.
