My only concern is that due to its age/release date the sensors/technology will not be up to scratch compared to the same sensors/tech being released today. Hey guys which g-shock watch has the most features and a good design, alternatively the best in these two specifications. It really depends which features you want and which look you prefer, keep in mind the GPW-1000 is fully analog. Which watch would you consuder for world travel- Deserts, jungle treking, rafting etc. I’m looking for a watch which will be tough enough for extreme travel. It appears to fit the bill for most of the activities, plus I like the idea of solar power.

I’m stuck with the choice of Casio GWN Q1000-1A and GPW 1000-B. I love the offering of the sea features but missing the GPS feature on the Gravity master, please help. GA-120 has estimated battery life of 3 years versus 2 years for the GA-110. I’ve decided to get the GWM as my first G-Shock based on it being the thinnest G-Shock model I can find at 12.7mm. It also has most of the features I am looking for and costs less than $100.

All of these are digital-only except for the Mudmaster models. I think any G-Shock will be okay if exposed to mud though some may require more thorough cleaning than others if there is extreme/constant exposure. One test of a great watch design is how well it works in different colorways. Go Rasta, denim or crystal, and you’ll have the 1980s on your wrist. Or, if you’re more into the 1990s, there’s a rave-inspired model with teal and purple, that decade’s favorite colorway.
