With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community. Few watches, if any, can boast a more rugged build than Casio’s Mudmaster line, a set of timepieces aimed squarely at hikers, mountaineers, and ground-based military personnel.
Its triple sensor system is really the highlight of this watch and what makes it particularly great. In addition to all its sensors, it incorporates all of the standard features that you would expect in a G-Shock. This means a chronograph function, alarms, countdown timer, stopwatch. Unless you have big wrists, or really enjoy wearing large watches, you will find it very big on the wrist, but for the outdoors, it is a bit of a story as it is more of a tool than a watch. Because of its size, it’s not the most comfortable, but it does the job for what it’s meant to do.
For 2019, the new flagship Casio G-Shock watch in the $300-$400 USD range is the Mudmaster GG-B100 model family. It consists of a few color variations, with this mostly black-toned reference GGB100-1A being the version I reviewed. Recall that aBlogtoWatch offered a hands-on debut look at this G-Shock Mudmaster GG-B100 here with another colorway when it was first announced back in March. Like most G-Shocks, the Mudmaster comes will all the standard features, a stopwatch feature, 5 alarms (with snooze!) and 31 world times.
By partnering directly with the brands we carry, we guarantee 100% authenticity of everything we sell. We even offer free shipping and returns, and a complimentary extended year warranty on all watches, so you can be confident you’ll be happy with your purchase. The Casio Gravity Defier GA1100 is a new approach to the last year’s Gravity Defier GW1100 and it comes with improved accuracy, exciting new functions and a different backpanel. As a conclusion, I consider that this is a G-Shock that has an added feel of refinement due to the design, quality of materials and incredible craftsmanship that Casio proved to be capable of.
Thanks to its rugged construction, you won’t have to worry about whether or not it will hold up. The G-Shock collection from Casio doesn’t need much of an introduction. It’s tough, durable, and made to handle virtually any harsh conditions you may subject it to. Inside the G-Shock collection, there is a watch for everyone.
Maybe even the extreme sports guys wouldn’t use these features, but they’re there and fun to use in daily life. In this hobby, it’s a rare occasion to see photos or articles about watches that aren’t pristine or new. It’s also very rare to meet someone who likes watches but has kept it to a minimum of 2 or 3 pieces. Almost every photo that rolls across our Instagram contains a watch in pristine condition; works of art meant to be adored by collectors and enthusiasts.
Aesthetically, the look of black carbon fiber on most of the case is gorgeous. The G-Shock has five buttons that are situated around the case and every one of them has a special function. The fifth button is placed on the bottom of the case and activates the light. Unscrew its protection cap, pull it out of the watch and you are able to adjust for example the time.
When you hold the Mudmaster GG-B100 in your hand, you immediately want to start playing with it. That might have something to do with the six large, knurled-surface pushers around the case. The Mudmaster series is all about water/dust/mud protection, and the pushers have all been designed with that in mind. I really like having more versus fewer pushers on the case, as it means you can generally get to functionality faster.
What is very important – according to the manual -is that the opening to the triple sensor is kept free of dirt or in this case mud. Otherwise the G-Shock might not perform the way it should. New G-Shock GWG-1000 combines features of the Mudman and Rangeman with an analog/digital hybrid display and case design that looks like a cross between the Aviation series and Rangeman series. Judging by its look and amount of details put into the design of this watch, making it the best looking tough tactical analog-digital G-Shock. The watch features a very bright illumination technology „Super-Illuminator” as Casio calls it, that can be activated with the touch of a button.
The case features 5 different buttons in order to operate the different functions. To operate this, you unscrew the protection cap and pull it outwards. This will allow you to adjust the standard functions such as the time. Starting off, this is a watch that is built to be ”extra everything”. It has a design that stands out of the ordinary, and equally so a ruggedness and performance that makes it one of the toughest watches on the market. Naturally, since it is all about performance, it is also packed with a bunch of functions and features.
